Driving in Paraguay

Anyone who has visited Paraguay has noticed or been appalled by the traffic.  Fortunately the one year that I lived in Paraguay I did not drive and had no interest in trying.  Just riding with someone else was enough anxiety for me.  When talking with a Paraguayan student back in Kansas he was flummoxed by driving in Kansas.  A memorable quote was; “You Americans are so crazy you stop at red lights even if there is no one else in the intersection.”  To get an idea of how an American in Paraguay experiences driving check out this post from the site Why Paraguay.

  1. I want to add one detail for your article, like if you have mechanical problem anywhere in Paraguay. You will always find a good samaritan to help you, from tyred problem or to be towed no matter the distance. God bless you.
