Lawrence Contingent visits Encarnación

The high school students from Lawrence partied with the COMITÉ PARAGUAY KANSAS chapter in Encarnación, which was organized by CPK member Liza Ayala and family. If you look closely you will see the five students from Lawrence and Free State High School, in addition to their two faculty sponsors, Lawrence High Principal Dr. Steve Nilhas and Sra. Karen Hyde.

The group of seven Kansans spent three weeks attending high schools in  Asunción and visited Iguazu Falls, the Jesuit Ruins, and Itaipu Dam.

Four of the high school students traveling to Paraguay this summer hosted Paraguayan Youth Ambassadors in 2007 and/or 2008, so this summer’s program makes the North-South exchange complete. Bravo!
